Eight bit fun. Nonsensical translations, glitches, and gamebreakers galore! Just watch out for the traps. 8bittia has them in the weirdest places. == Intended Tone == If I think your character is serious, they're not allowed in. == Core Rules == * System: D&D 3.5, Homebrew and Pathfinder allowed. Most classes will have at least one quirk or glitch. * Starting Level: See "Leveling and Stalting" below. * Variant Rules: No LA Buyoff (but see "Character Inherents" below), http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/magic/spellPoints.htm Spell Points in use. See "Class-specific adjustments" below. * WBL: Please. You start out piss-broke. * Ability Score Generation: One 18, and then 5d6b3, 6 times, to fill other stats. * You must provide a sprite for your character. It must be an 8-bit sprite. == Class-specific variants and fluff == Impractical modes of dress are the norm in 8-bittia. "Practical" armor is known to exist, but is generally reserved for the Boring classes. === Wizards and Witches === In 8-bittia, male Wizards are called Wizards and female Wizards are called Witches. This also applies for the Witch class, but not other spellcasting classes. (For a while, people tried that, but the King of 8-bittia declared that only the Wizard and Witch classes use the names Wizard and Witch, so that people looking for a Wizard who blows shit up don't get a Wizard who specializes in mindfuckery.) Wizards (males of the Wizard or Witch class) have their faces cloaked in shadow (most of the time), and yellow-glowing eyes. They gain Darkvision and low-light vision; if they would already have either, either add 60 feet to the Darkvision range or bump them to superior low-light vision, as appropriate. Witches (females of the Wizard or Witch class) have oddly skimpy dresses, a cat as a familiar and spellbook (with unlimited pages), and a flying broom (as a ''broom of flying'', except no daily time limit). === Rogue/Thief/Ninja/etc. === Rogues are required by law to wear mouth-covering bandanas of one or another. Of course, already being prone to criminal brigand activity, no one is really going to try and enforce the law - but most go ahead and follow through anyways.
