Spirits Vista (Su)

A spirit shaman can glimpse whether a creature it can currently see is bound with their spirit or not, that is, they can tell if any object or creature they see are living. Unintelligent undead and most constructs are considered nonliving. Intelligent items, however, are seen as a living force, as well as plants, oozes, and vermin. Further, a spirit shaman may spend a move action to study the spirit a bit further if it is living, knowing instantly the age of the spirit.

Spirit Stability (Su)

A spirit shaman of 2nd level gains the unique ability to command the spirits within an object to strengthen or weaken themselves. By making a touch attack, they can decrease or increase the hardness of an object by up to their spirit shaman level. They can not increase or decrease the hardness of an object by any more away from the unmodified value than their spirit shaman level as well, to a maximum of 5. A spirit shaman can not give hardness to an object that does not already have it, nor can it reduce hardness below 1.

Bestow Incarnum (Su)

At 3rd level, a spirit shaman gains the ability to use soulmelds as well as bestow them upon others by altering the spiritual force surrounding a willing creature. The spirit shaman uses Charisma for her main stat for her soulmelds and shares her soulmeld list with the Totemist. Bestowing a soulmeld upon another creature warps the spirit in an unnatural way, however. The soulmeld persists for only 24 hours, and an additional soulmeld can not be applied to that creature for another 48 hours afterwards, with the exception of that creature's own soulmelds if they have any. The spirit shaman has no limits on using the soulmelds on themselves, however. The number of soulmelds a spirit shaman gains, and their eventual essentia, are listed in the spirit shaman table.

Spirit Messenger (Su)

At 4th level, a spirit shaman gains the ability to give a message to its guiding spirit to relay to a creature within 300 feet. This message is given completely mentally. The recipient hears the message in their head perfectly, as though the spirit shaman said it directly to them. They can not, however, have a message be relayed back unless they are also have this class feature. A spirit shaman may only contact a single creature each round in this manor.

Spirit Calling (Su)

Upon obtaining 5th level, a spirit shaman gains the ability to read in to the memories of the spirit on an item. The object must be of at least tiny size (that of a parchment) or larger, and can not be natural force or unworked object (such as a cave wall, or a mass of water). In order to read the memories, however, the spirit shaman must bind an intelligent force in to the object, a ritual that requires a full hour of concentration upon the object. Thereafter, the spirit shaman can ask that object 1 question per spirit shaman level at any point over the course of the next 24 hours.

Each question asked requires a caster level check of the spirit shaman, based on who or what the subject of the question is. A DC 10 is for any general question on any subject the object would have witness that does not fall in to one of the higher DCs. A DC 15 is for any question pertaining to any nonneglectful owner of the object, who cared for the object over a course of at least two months. A DC 25 is for any question pertaining to the creator of the object, or an owner who exalted the object, or cherished it over the course of at least a year.

Even after the caster level check, the information given by the object is still limited to the object's experiences and can be cryptic, in many cases reflecting that of the creator.

The spirit shaman can't use it again on an item she has already used this ability on for at least seven days since last using it on that item.

Numinous Visions (Su)

Upon obtaining 6th level, a spirit shaman gains the ability to always perceive the presence of a spirit, whether attached to this world or hiding behind a veil. This effectively gives the spirit shaman the ability to see any objects or beings that are invisible or ethereal within their normal sight range, as the see invisibility spell, except the spirits seen are slightly hazy, and offer no color detail. This does not allow the spirit shaman to see apast noninvisibility based illusions.
