Whatever the truth of this legend, the half-giant race has increased in number and is now fairly common especially in human controlled lands. Halfgiants gain great strength, but dull wits, from their giant heritage, and are nearly as agile as their human forbearers. Despite the name Half-Giants are an own species and not a cross-breed and can reproduce with other half-giants. ==Half-Giant Racial Traits== * ''Abilities'': +4 to Strength, +2 to Constitution, -2 to Dexterity, -2 to intelligence. Half-giants are incredible tough and strong, but not too nimble or smart. * ''Large size'': As large creatures, half-giants gain -1 penalty to Armor Class, -1 penalty on attack rolls, -2 size penalty on Stealth checks, +4 bonus on grapple checks, and can lift and carry the double limits of Medium characters and gain a +1 size bonus to their Shock Value. * ''Space/Reach'': 10 ft./10 ft. * ''Giant'': Half-Giants count as giant creatures and are therefore not affected by spells and effects that specifically target humanoid creatures. * Half-Giant base land speed is 40 feet. * ''Low-Light Vision'': A half-giant can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. He retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions. * ''Fire Acclimated'': Half-giants have a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against all fire spells and effects, including the exposure to hot climate. Half-giants are accustomed to enduring high temperatures.
