Sometimes also called Ariochim, Chaonds are enigmatic and unpredictable and are often very prone to change, both in the physical and in the mental department. ==Chaond Racial Abilities== * '''Abilities''': add +2 to Dexterity, +2 to Intelligence -2 to Wisdom and +2 to Charisma. Chaonds are physically and mentally highly mobile, and their enigmatic aura grants them a disctinct exotic fascination, but their thirst for chnge odften let them neglect common sense or older experiences. * '''Extraplanar Heritage''': Change the character’s creature type to native outsider. The size category of the original species does not change. * '''Merge of Slaad and Mortal Blood''': For all effects related to race, a Chaond is considered both an outsider with the chaotic subtype and the original species of his progenitors (a human chaond would still count as a human). * Chaond characters use the same base speed as the original species. * '''Aura of Chaos''': Their heritage from creatures of the limbo and other wyld places gives the Chaond a chaotic nature that turns her chaotic for the usage of spells. A Chaond is affected by aligned spells as if she were an outsider, e.g. Protection from Chaos offers protection against them. This alignment is permanent and cannot be changed without massive magic power. * '''Supernatural Resistance''': Chaond characters gain 5 points of Resistance against acid, cold and sonic damage. * '''Inherited magical powers''': Chaonds can use the ''Shatter'' spell as if it were a cantrip with a caster level equal to half the Chaond's character level. The spell can be used as often as wanted, but after every usage, the Chaond must make a Fortitude or Will Save (whichever is higher) against a DC of 15 or become fatigued. Chaonds can also use the ''Dancing Lights'' spell as a cantrip with a caster level equal to half their character level at will. * '''Chaotic Influence''': Their supernatural heritage grants Chaonds a surprising mobility that grants a +2 racial bonus to Acrobatics checks. * '''Chaotic Resistance''': Chaonds gain a +1 racial bonus to all Saving throws against divine spells. They are affected normally by arcane magic. * '''Favored Class''': Chaonds use the same favored class as their mortal progenitors but add one non-spellcasting character class of their choice to the number of favorite classes. The preferences of a Chaond are hard to predict. * '''Level Adjustment''': +1 ==Further Advancement of Chaonds:== Aasimars use the same advancement scheme as their mortal progenitor species.
