As the soulknife levels up, he gains new soul focuses. At first level, the soulknife can focus his soul energy into creating a soul weapon. Changing his focus takes two hours of uninterrupted meditation; if the soulknife wishes to create a different soul weapon, he must refocus. At 5th level, refocusing takes 5 minutes of meditation. At 10th level, it takes a full round action. At 15th level, it takes a move action, and at 20th level, it is a swift action to refocus. Weapon: The soul weapon is the soul knife's most important asset and greatest skill. Soul weapons are hard, glass-like fascimiles of mundane weapons, but on close inspection it becomes clear that they are not constructed from earthly materials. Instead, the soul weapon is constructed from hardened quintessence--itself the normally gooey result of psionic time manipulation--and held together with sheer force of will. When the soulknife meditates on the weapon focus, he chooses a type of soul weapon from the weapon table. {|border=1px !Damage Type !!Melee !! Reach !! Reach: Reach Soul Weapons deal 1d8 damage, are Strength based, and have reach. Ranged: Ranged Soul Weapons deal 1d6 damage, are Dexterity based, and have a range increment of 60, and do not require ammo. Once the soulknife has manifested a weapon focus, the soulknife can create the physical soul weapon as a full round action. If it is sundered or leaves his person, the quintessence evaporates, and the soulknife can create a physical soul weapon again as normal. The soulknife applies his soul bonus as his soul weapon's enhancement bonus. Athletics: When manifesting the athletics focus, the soulknife channels his psychic energy over his muscles and overperforms. Add your soul bonus to climb, jump, swim, and tumble skill checks. Persona: When manifesting the persona focus, the soulknife channels his psychic energy back into his charisma; he comprehends what people might think or say before they do, and uses his hypercognition to his advantage. Add your soul bonus to bluff, diplomacy, gather information, and sense motive skill checks. Focus List: Least: Athletics (Climb, Jump, Swim, Tumble) Persona (Bluff, Diplomacy, Gather Information, Sense Motive) Marathon (+5 ft x soul bonus speed) Lesser: Legerdemain (Invisible etc) Quasireal (Concealing Amorpha, Retain Soul Weapon (Su) At 2nd level, when a soulknife is manifesting the weapon focus and meditates on a new focus, he does not lose his soul weapon. As long as it is on his person and he is conscious, he retains his soul weapon. When he manifests a new weapon focus, the soul weapon he is holding evaporates and forms itself into his new weapon; he can not produce two soul weapons at a time. If a soulknife's soul weapon is sundered or lost from his person, he can not spend a full round action to reproduce it if he is manifesting another focus, he must remanifest the weapon focus. Body Equilibrium (Psi) Starting at 4th level, a soulknife is continuously under the effect of Body Equilibrium. He can supress or reactivate this power as a free action. Echoing Expertise (Psi) Starting at 7th level, a soulknife learns to use the powerful traits of quintessence to increase his combat ability. After attempting and failing a combat manuever (A bull rush, a disarm, a grapple (including a pin), or a trip.), the soulknife alters the timestream, and can make a second attempt using his Wisdom modifier in place of his Strength or Dexterity modifier. If the soulknife does so and this echoed attempt also fails, he becomes Dazed. Quintessence Control (Psi) A Soulknife learns how to craft soul weapons by manipulating quintessence. Creating a solid soul weapon out of frozen quintessence is actually much easier than using it in its raw form. At 10th level, a soulknife begins to master controlling quintessence in its natural state. The soulknife can produce and control a number of ounces of quintessence equal to his soulknife class level at a time. The soulknife can create raw quintessence as per the Quintessence power and can move it as per the Far Hand power. Astral Walk (Psi) Starting at 8th level, a Soulknife can move as if by Dimension Door at will as a move action at up to half his land speed.
