Kenku are a race of greedy hawk-men that trade with the rest of Marranarch. They are a secretive race that lives on the southern part of the Phoenician continent. They are magical creatures with an obsession for treasure and the arcane. They often use their powers to annoy and rob the other races. Personality: Kenku are greedy, manipulative, cunning, and extremely rude. Physical Description: Kenku are hawk-like humanoids that stand 5 to 5 1/2 feet in height and weigh 100-120 pounds. They have dark-brown plumage and white speckles on their chests. They posses dexterous hands, which are textured with tough skin like a hawk's. They also have three-toed taloned-feet. Kenku eyes are a brilliant yellow, green, or gold. Though they have feathers and are birdlike, Kenku cannot fly. Kenku speak a variety of languages, but prefer their own language over others, frequently basing potential trades over who speaks their tongue. The typical Kenku adventurer dresses in sun-worn but expensive finery. Kenku can live up to 60 years. Relations: Kenku may appear to be friendly, helpful, and even generous. They freely give treasure to humans and demihumans, but it is rarely genuine and sometimes even crumbles into dust. They may offer advice to humanoids, but this is carefully designed to mislead. They do not usually kill unless their own lives are threatened by the survival of their foe. All Kenku have well-developed disguise skills, and can sometimes pass for human, although their disguises often have telltale large noses. Less moral Kenku sometimes kidnap wealthy nobles as a source of revenue. Alignment: Kenku tend towards the evil and chaotic ends of the spectrum. Kenku Lands: The Kenku call the southern part of the Phoenician continent--widely referred to as The Tail--their home. Religion: Kenku tend to worship gods associated with thievery, trade, and wind. Language: Kenku speak Auran and Common. They also have their own language, which is largely unusable by the human tongue. Adventurers: Kenku adventurers are individuals that seek the lost mystical artifacts and quick money that can be found while on an adventure. They often hire out their skills to merchant-houses and templar officials acting as spies, scouts, and in-house defilers. ==Player Character Kenku== *+2 Dexterity, -2 Charisma *Size: Medium-sized *Kenku base speed is 20 feet *Monstrous Humanoid: As monstrous humanoids, Kenku are immune to spells and effects that target specifically humanoids. *Darkvision out to 60 feet *Natural Attacks: Kenku posses sharp claws that inflict 1d3 (plus strength bonus) points of damage as a melee attack.
