{{Distat}} Drawbacks are special options that can be added to talents. A talent with a drawback has its cost reduced by 1, to a minimum of 1. Thus, a character could take a drawback for a 2nd level talent and only spend one point on it. The talent will still count as 2nd level, but its value will always only be one point; the character may not count it as a two-point talent when qualifying for a higher talent level. A talent's cost can never be reduced by more than one stat point. A character may not take more drawbacks than the level of the highest talent they qualify for. Thus, the maximum number of drawbacks any character can have is six. [[Category:Distat]] *'''Complicated''': This drawback can only be applied to a Body Active talent. The talent now requires the use of a Mental action in addition to a Physical action to use. *'''Crippling''': The character takes one point of damage penalty every time the talent used. This drawback cannot be applied to talents that are constantly in effect. *'''Draining''': The talent costs 1 bonus pool point every time it's used. This drawback cannot be applied to talents that are constantly in effect. *'''Short Range''': This drawback can only be applied to a Mind Active talent. The talent now requires the initiator to be next to the target. *'''Somatic''': This drawback can only be applied to a Mind Active talent. The talent now requires the use of a Physical action in addition to a Mental action to use. *'''Tiring''': The talent may only be used once per encounter. When applied to talents that are constantly in effect, those talents instead last for one round.
