{{nsfw}} == Sexual Alignment == Besides describing a character's sexual nature independently of their main alignment, characters have a two-dimensional actual Sexual Alignment as well. Unlike the classical alignment grid, this grid is twenty-one spaces - three for drive, and ''seven'' for gender preference (based on the [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinsey_scale Kinsey Scale of sexuality]] === Drive === :'''Abstinent''': An Abstinent character doesn't much care for sex. Petty hedonism just doesn't stroke their interests. Perhaps they're devoted to a cause, or simply fearful of societal disapproval. They themselves tend to be pretty disapproving of more free-wheeling bretheren. :'''Moderate''': The neutral. They acknowledge their sexuality, but it doesn't have much sway over them. An opportunity to indulge in their passions is great, but not their be-all end-all. :'''Indulgent''': Indulgent characters like to do it. They seek to gratify their urges and regularly. They view those that repress their urges as confusing beings - why deny yourself? === Gender Preference === :'''Hard-Gyno''': Hard-Gyno characters like women ''exclusively and solely''. They are ''much'' rarer than one would think. :'''Gyno''': Gyno characters like women primarily, only incidentally showing interest in men. This is the most common alignment for men. :'''Bi-Gyno''': Bi-Gyno characters prefer women, but are more than incidentally interested in men. This alignment's more common for men than a straight person might think. Bi-Gynos are the quintessential "dudes who experimented in college". :'''Bisexual''': Bisexual characters like men and women about equally. :'''Bi-Andro''': Bi-Andro characters prefer men, but are more than incidentally interested in women. This alignment's more common for women than a straight person might think. :'''Andro''': Andro characters like men primarily, only incidentally showing interest in women. This is the most common alignment for women. :'''Hard-Andro''': Hard-Andro characters like men ''exclusively and solely''. They're ''much'' rarer than one would think. == Fetishes and Frets == Fetishes And Frets almost sounds like a good name for a porn-themed D&D clone, rather than a section in a discussion of sexuality in a D&D setting, doesn't it? Most people have preferences and dispreferences in their sex - some more strongly than others. A character's likes are called Fetishes, and are rated from 1-6 (with 1-3 being normal, 4-6 magical, at least in most cases). A character's dislikes are called Frets, and are rated from 1-3. When observing the subject of a Fetish in a sexual context, characters must make a Will save vs. DC 10 + the fetish potency, or become Horny. When observing the subject of a Fret in a sexual context, they must make a Will save vs. DC 10 + the fret potency if they ''want'' to become Horny (or maintain Horniness) - and gain a +2 (per potency) bonus against any saves related to inducing Horniness (even magically!) made by the fret's source. == Fetishes with Special Rules == Certain particular Fetishes or Frets work differently than above... * '''Danger''': Sexual Ability checks against characters with a danger fetish receive a penalty equal to the Fetish's rating, instead of any penalties. (That is, the DC drops instead of rising.) When had as a fret, Danger or the perception of it ''doubles'' the penalty by a number of times equal to the rating. * '''Exhibition''': Sexual Ability checks against Exhibitionists do not suffer penalties for sex due to being in public, instead getting a bonus equal to the Fetish's rating. (The DC drops instead of rising.) When had as a fret, being in public ''doubles'' the penalty a number of times equal to the rating. * '''Masochism''': See the basic rules for how this modifies sex. Having Masochism as a fret doubles the penalties a number of times equal to the rating. * '''Sadism''': See above. * '''Nymphomania/Satyriasis''': All Sexual Ability checks made against a Nymphomaniac or Satyriac get a +1 bonus (instead of the kink modifier). Sexual jokes/insinuations/opportunites require the victim make a Will save against DC 15 + the kink rating - failure means they immediately become Horny. The character is compelled to seek sex, per the Compulsion rules, as if the kink were two points stronger than usual. Having this as a fret means your character is flat-out scared of Sex - all Sexual Ability checks are made at a -1 penalty, and you lose nonmagical Horniness in half the time. == Compulsion == Characters who cannot engage in their fetishes may begin to lose morale, and fast. Characters prone to sexuality who do not receive contact with their fetish for a certain length of time begin to suffer morale penalties - they must make a Will save at 10+Potency or suffer a cumulative -1 morale to all saves, stacking each period that passes with a failure. All penalties erase upon satisfaction of their fetish. {|border=1px !Fetish Rating !!Time between tests |- |1||One year |- |2||One month |- |3||One week |- |4||One day |- |5||One hour |- |6||Ten minutes |} == Determining Kinks == In general, if your campaign discusses sexuality, the GM should let characters decide what Fetishes or Frets the character has (in general, limit it to three). (The trick is to remind them that this ''doesn't'' make their characters perverted). Sexually Abstinent characters are likely to have no Fetishes, and possibly even a Fret for sex itself. Otherwise, it's largely up to the player - more than three is rare, though. If players want to roll a random fetish or fret, roll 2d10 and check this chart... But be highly liberal in the interpretations (a character with a bone fetish is probably NOT attracted to animated skeletons, but would go nuts for an ivory dildo, for example).
