== New Curse Drawbacks == These can be added to existing lists of curse effects, or rolled in at the GM's choice. * Character is inflicted with new fetish (likely a highly problematic one) at power level 3. * Character is afflicted with ''Emperor's New Clothes'' while the item is held or worn. * Character is struck sterile. * Masturbation by the item's owner causes 1d10 points of subdual damage and painful scarring on the organ in question. == Specific Cursed Items == === Frictionless Sheets === These linens appear to be mundane, if nice, linen sheets. However, after three minutes of contact with a living creature, they become completely and utterly frictionless. If anything 'strenuous' is going on when this happens, a Reflex Save (DC 30) prevents the characters from sliding off. The sheets return to normal after 2d4 rounds with no living contact. ''Caster Level: 7th. Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, grease. Market Price: 10,500 gp. Cost to Create: 5250 GP + 420 XP Weight: 1 lb.'' === Helm of Horniness === This metal helmet looks perfectly normal... Until someone puts it on, and their sexual alignment is permanently changed to Indulgent and fully Bisexual (Will save negates, DC 15). The victim gains the Nymphomania or Satyriasis kink at level 3, becoming essentially permanently Horny, all motivations beyond sex becoming secondary to them. Only a ''wish'' or ''miracle'' can restore their former attitudes, and the victim does not make any attempt to return to the former alignment. (In fact, he views the prospect with horror and avoids it in any way possible.) If a character of a class with a sexual alignment requirement is affected, an ''atonement spell'' is needed as well if the curse is to be obliterated. When a Helm of Horniness has functioned once, it loses its magical properties. === Remote Frictionless Sheets === As ''frictionless sheets'', except these are triggered by a command word instead of contact. Worse, the command word can be triggered from up to five miles away, without the sheets having to 'hear' it. ''Caster Level: 7th. Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, grease, sending. Market Price: 12,000 gp. Cost to Create: 6000 GP + 480 XP. Weight: 1 lb.'' === Ring of the Vampire === ''Rings of the Vampire'' are of unknown origin; most aware of them suspect them to be the result of a malicious enchanter and/or necromancer, possibly with diabolic influence. When one surfaces, trouble invariably follows. The ring makes the victim believe they are a vampire, and grants them many powers and drawbacks of them. Their AC receives a natural bonus of +3, and they gain a slam attack (if they did not already have one - 1d6 damage for medium, 1d8 for large). More significantly, they can drain blood from victims (but do not gain temporary HP from doing so), and can charm people (as per the spell ''Charm Monster'' cast by a 12th-level caster) by meeting their gaze. They do ''not'' gain the vampire's Dominate or Energy Drain abilities. Perhaps the nastiest property of the ring, is that the charm magic can more powerfully influence its victims thoughts if the "vampire" drains their blood, making them believe that they are slave vampires. Combined with the 'master' believing themselves to be a vampire, the result can quickly become a pandemic of disappearances. The most likely victims of this ring are philanthropic rich folk; it is believed that the rings may be attracted to them. The ring is cursed, requiring a high-level dispel to remove from the victim. If the ring is "lost", then it will inevitably reappear in the hands of a new victim some time in the future. Certain good-aligned rituals may be able to hold the ring for some time before it takes effect, but it is not known to be destructible. ''Minor Artifact, Market Price: N/A''
