''Before you is a small, flightless bird, whose eyes seem to glow all sorts of burning colors. You feel massive amounts of impending doom as it turns to look towards you, squawking comically.'' Tactical Thermonuclear Penguins are one of the most horrific carnivores in any universe - their tiny, cute structure belies their horrific capacity for violence, extreme power, and anti-social tendencies. Worse still, when they're on the hunt, they wield powerful magic weapons and items. The best advice when dealing with a Tactical Thermonuclear Penguin, is to not piss it off. Ever. Just walk away slowly and maybe you'll leave intact. == Basics == :'''Size/Type:''' Small Magical Beast :'''Hit Dice:''' 30d12+300 (495 hp) :'''Initiative:''' +0 :'''Speed:''' 100 ft., swim 100 ft. :'''Armor Class:''' 32 (+10 Natural, +10 Dex, +2 size) :'''Attack:''' :'''Full Attack:''' :'''Space/Reach:''' 5 ft. by 5 ft. / 5 ft. :'''Special Attacks:''' :'''Special Qualities:''' Regeneration :'''Saves:''' Fort +10, Ref +10, Will +5 :'''Abilities:''' Str 30, Dex 30, Con 30, Int 20, Wis 20, Cha 20 :'''Skills:''' :'''Environment:''' Any land and underground :'''Organization:''' Various :'''Challenge Rating:''' 20 :'''Treasure:''' None :'''Alignment:''' Always Neutral :'''Advancement:''' 31-40 HD (Small); 40+ HD (Medium) :'''Favored Class:''' Racial HD<br> :'''Racial Levels:''' No == Combat == The Tactical Thermonuclear Penguin, when angered, dives right into combat, beheading or burning everyone in sight, then carefully looting their corpses, taking all items to its nest, where its (also thermonuclear) children enjoy the magic items. === Regeneration === Tactical Thermonuclear Penguins do not die. No attack deals lethal damage to them. It regenerates from even ''disintegrate'' spells and death effects. If it fails a save against an instant-kill effect, it is instead dealt nonlethal damage equal to its full normal Hit Points +10. It is immune to effects that produce incurable or bleeding wounds, such as mummy rot, a sword with the wounding special ability, or a clay golem’s cursed wound ability. A Tactical Thermonuclear Penguin can be slain only by raising its nonlethal damage total to its full normal hit points +10 (or 868 hit points) and using a wish or miracle spell to keep it dead. If the Tactical Thermonuclear Penguin loses a limb or body part, the lost portion regrows in 1d6 minutes (the detached piece dies and decays normally). The creature can reattach the severed member instantly by holding it to the stump.
