All manner of races, including many from other planes, are among the students of Amorcul and/or Ethion. This is in part due to a ''strict'' racial-tolerance, alignment-tolerance, and class-tolerance policy. In general, they are categorized into four categories: * Typical. They can attend under the same conditions as standard Medium or Small humanoids. Represent around 80% of Amorcul students * Racially-Targeted. This race may be the target of hatred by one or more majority races. For safety reasons, a special district optimized for their race is on the island. These districts ''are'' fully open for visiting, but tend to have additional security - both of and not of the relevant race. * Special Needs. Some races can't necessarily attend on the same conditions as normal humanoids - Large beings, for example, can't sit at a normal desk. They often get special districts, just like Racially-Targeted students, and have special adjustments provided for. * Transformation Needed. Some races' physical forms are fundamentally unusable in a normal class environment. They must wear special variant Personants - designed to shift them to a full-human form with special marks that, as best as possible, preserve their individual form and identity. (See [[Amorcul:Special Items]].) Races with special concerns or setting-specific issues are detailed below. == Demons == Most Demons in the Amorcul Academy setting are mostly human looking, only visually marked as demonic by their pointy ears. All MM Demon types with no details here exist, but are often feral - and among those that aren't, ''very'' few would ever "stoop so low" as to attend an academy run by mortals. Demons in the setting tend to gather in clans, ranging in size from a village to a city. Many clans (regardless of size) have control over one of the infinite planes of the Abyss. Any that is sending students to either Academy will have established at least one portal to Amorcul or Ethion's Docks Districts - and probably both, due to Amorcul and Ethion having policies to the effect of "Send one outsider to one, send a comparable one to the other". Demon clans are not always Chaotic Evil - while there is a fair cultural bias, a clan (and thus ''most'' within it) can be of any of the normal nine alignments. Any with Evil as part of the clan alignment have two variants - Benign and Malign. Malign Evil clans (the largest category) are ''ludicrously'' unlikely to send any students to either academy. === Succubus === Succubi who attend Amorcul are required to have taken a Trade of Materialism, and MUST take the Freesoul progression as their Major until they complete it. (Only Ethion caters to those who would rather take Corruptor.) The vast majority will have a Demonic Sponsor (who will be the ruler of a demon clan with portals established). They, as all Enchanters, have rules and limitations as to where and how they may use their seductive powers. They, as most Enchanters, are prone to not follow them too tightly. They are considered Racially-Targeted, but do ''not'' have a special district - instead living on upper floors of buildings in the Seventh Metacultural District (nicknamed the "Pervert District" by students). ==== Myey'Alexandras ==== Myey'Alexandras is a Multi-Doctorate holding Succubus, and the lord of the Alexandras clan, a moderate-sized (2154 as of last census), True Neutral clan that has largely abandoned their native home plane beyond occasional patrolling to make sure no other Demons get funny ideas about moving in. All members of the clan are students, staff, or permanent residents of Amorcul, ruling half the dorm facilities in the Seventh Metacultural District, as well as the district's sole mansion. The clan does not ''per se'' accept non-demons into it's ranks - however, most are welcome to a semi-formal organization known as the Seventh Metacultural Society, also led by Myey. Essentially an auxiliary of the Alexandras clan, it is mostly populated by family of clan members, and fanboys/girls of high-profile clan members. Myey has also developed a personal variant of a transformation ritual, so anyone who ''really, REALLY'' wants to become a Succubus and is okay with surrendering their soul to Myey (one-year soul-back guarantee, no-unnecessary-mind-manipulation clause, no cheating using divine intervention or ''wish'' derivatives to get your soul back) can join. (Anyone who takes this is automatically subject to Myey as their Sponsor, and a Trade of Materialism. A special dispensation lets them rapid-retrain under their new Major and either old track as their minor, taking one special exam a week, until they have reached their old level.) All members of the Alexandras clan proper have Myey as a Demonic Sponsor - and have surrendered Myey's clan has four central principles, which have existed since long before Amorcul came into existence: * Sexiness is mandatory. Skankiness is prohibited. * Artistic expression is important. * Loyalty to one another is absolute. To consider any of the clan anything less than 'friend' is intolerable. * Never be afraid of what defines you as an individual. Less-officially, the clan pushes its members to never truly stop their education, and towards some amount of Munchkinism. The Eternal Student class is common. ''Myey'Alexandras, 10 Freesoul Succubus/20 Wizard (change to insert prestige classes) // 20 Warlord/5 Fencer/5 Telepath'' Full stat block coming eventually! == Nekomimi / Inumimi == There are two types of Nekomimi and Inumimi in the setting. Experimental Nekomimi/Inumimi are as-normal - and probably were created at Amorcul or Ethion. They are considered Typical. Demonic Nekomimi/Inumimi have the Outsider, Chaotic, and Evil subtypes, and can have a Demonic Sponsor, but otherwise are identical. The proper term for them is "Nekomata" and "Kitsune", and both are dominantly-female species. They are considered Typical, though some are of the Alexandras clan and thus live in the Seventh Metacultural District.
