== Origins == Amorcul's entire dimension was created two centuries ago by a mighty wizard. About the only thing anyone knows about the mighty wizard is that he created the Academy, since his doing so involved sacrificing his very history and life. Every achievement known to the world he may ever have completed is known only to his companions to be his work - history having looped around itself and given the credit to other heroes (most commonly, but not always, his companions) for all of it. The Administrative District was the first part of town constructed by a vast array of hired hands - followed immediately by the first two Class Districts - Fighter and Cleric (The latter being disproportionately large for its population, thanks to the Mandate of Tolerance meaning that the district had to be loaded up with no less than ''600'' temples of all manner of gods.) Unknown to even his cohorts, however, the Unknown Wizard had also, as part of the cost of establishing Amorcul, had to establish a counterpart school - hiring a group of career Mooks and professional Evil Overlords to start establishing the counterpart Evil Academy of Ethion. Both sides discovered the true nature of the "deceit" soon enough - and, per the rules that the Unknown Wizard had set, promptly agreed to affiliate and work together to better control the world's balance. The Unknown Wizard's work was, apparently, sufficient to draw even the Celestials and Abyssals into both sides of the scheme - who would have guessed that holy beings of pure law and good make such good evil overlords? (Besides most Abyssals...) Both schools quickly began to prove quite successful, thanks in no small part to a ridiculous resource supply inherent to the dimension the Unknown Wizard had created... And no shortage of clients across the entire world and even surrounding cosmos. == Major Events in the history of Amorcul-Ethion == 0 AEC (Amorcul-Ethion Creation): The dimension of Amorcul-Ethion is created. 5 AEC: The Administrative District of Amorcul, and its counterpart, the Central Administration Fortress of Ethion, is completed. 10 AEC: Both schools begin taking students, initially only in a Major - Fighter and Cleric for Amorcul, and Basic Mook and Elite Underling for Ethion. 25 AEC: Amorcul accepts its first Abyssal student from the NetherEarth Organization; to this day, 90% of Amorcul's Abyssal students come from the NEO. Ethion accepts its first Celestial students (not from a specific organization). 26 AEC: Ethion (having just started it's research divisions) successfully proves the Theory of Alignment Disconnection, training several Angels in the work of villainous mooks without them becoming Fallen Angels. The publication of this theory rocks core assumptions of what both the Celestial and Abyssal realms are like. (The question of how Fallen Angels come to be remains open. More recent theory suggests that Falling is a form of divine punishment, issued by greater celestial powers to lessers.) 27 AEC: Amorcul proves the theory a second time when a Demonic student chooses to become a Cleric of the Sun, successfully undertaking a ritual meant to prove their spiritual purity. 50 AEC: Amorcul establishes connections with adventuring schools across the cosmos, establishing the Interdimensional Academic Athletics Association, and its counterpart Interdimensional Academic Competitions Association (for non-athletic/sport competitions). The IAAA and IACA offices are established on islands near the Academy, rather than on-grounds, as a give to the idea that competition regulation should not be controlled by any one school, while providing maximum location convenience to as many schools as possible - after all, Amorcul Island had plenty of ways to rapidly get from dimension "A" to city "B"... 100 AEC: Amorcul-Ethion opens its docks districts to limited non-academic purposes - most significantly providing for tourism on and around the two dimensions. The results only make the Academies ''even richer'' over time. 200 AEC: Present day.
