More details will be coming after more Districts are written. Amorculian crafting - particularly of magical items - is as scholarly a pursuit as adventuring is to the Academy. Since the Academy does not provide experience, but direct levels, students normally do not have a supply of experience to craft with. There are three solutions to this known to most students: * Students earn XP any time they would earn Gold by adventuring. Since XP does ''not'' provide levels to Amorcul students, the only use for it is crafting, so... * Students may be provided Experience Orbs by teachers to cover XP cost of crafting for class. * Some staff have a special feat that allows them to craft ''without'' needing any XP at all - particularly those who work to provide items sold for Student Credits. Students who take Item Creation Feats are usually those who are taking a Minor in a field using that craft - for example, Craft Wondrous Item is common among tailors who want to sell various sorts of Stash Bag (see [[Amorcul:Special Items]]). Pure adventurers are discouraged from taking the course, in favor of more efficient adventuring builds. A special utility has been developed for students who wish to craft magic items, but not as a career. == Amorculian Craftsman's Workshops == These buildings are enchanted with a special series of magics, allowing for the easier merging of spells into items. Anyone building an item withing a Craftsman's Workshop is automatically treated as having the Brew Potion, Craft Magic Arms And Armor, Craft Rod, Craft Staff, Craft Wand, Craft Wondrous Item, Forge Ring, and Scribe Scroll feats, if they meet the level requirements. Skills for the mundane elements of crafting remain necessary. ACWs are easy enough to construct, but the magic on them cannot work outside of Amorcul-Ethion. At least one large workshop is open to any interested student or other resident in every district, but many districts also have various private workshops, which offer better facilities for a Gold fee, as well. (In particular, crafting of items that have a crafting time of over a week is the realm of private workshops - a three-room suite of a workroom, bedroom, and bathroom, with meals delivered, costs 25 GP per week.) == Feat: Amorculian Craftsmanship == :''Prerequisite'': The character must primarily live on Amorcul-Ethion, any other Item Creation Feat. :''Benefit'': The character pays no XP costs for crafting items while they are in an Amorculian Craftsman's Workshop. :''Normal'': The character still pays XP costs as is normal for items.
